Nóz w wodzie, 1962

"Knife in the water" is Roman Polański's first, so called, feature film - i.e. people actually went to the cinema and paid to see it. It was made in 1962 and Polański co-wrote it with Jerzy Skolimowski and Jakub Goldberg in Polish. Needless to say, much has changed since then, especially what people will call a good movie for the sake of it. Do yourself a favor and only go and see it if you enjoy long scenes, can appreciate borderline humor, are fascinated by Polish behavior and don't mind a black-and-white movie with only 3 actors in it. Otherwise, you might just not like it all that much.

The story? Polish couple meets Polish stranger and chillaxes with him on a private sail boat wherefrom they get to know each other better and reality seeps in. Naturalism as far from Hollywood as you can get - which is a definite plus.

    1. Oh, wow. I am speechless. But my heart is unsure. What did I ever do to deserve such a privilege? All the hard work and blood and sweat and tears and bodily fluids exhausted throughout my years as a young adult have finally culminated in the opportunity to follow Steve Finnell on blogger. A person I have never heard of, never contacted and never shown an iota of interest in has invited me to now follow him and his life via the service of online updates appearing on a list in the left corner when I click on the blogger icon on my browser favorites bar that I use only to log in. It is a joyous day indeed, for all humanity. Maybe we can turn this world around. Maybe we can all rejoice in the glory of solidarity and equality among men, women, children, old people and the various gray zones in between, including milfs, in a future not for the financially rich but those rich in heart. Pray with me.
